Truth be told, we don’t know either.

The names of national performers set to lend their talents to "Gem City Shine," hosted by Dave Chappelle from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. this Sunday, Aug. 25, has been kept secret.

The security measurements in place and the fact that Live Nation, a global entertainment company that includes Ticketmaster, is involved fuels the thought that some real heavy hitters could be involved.

The benefit comes in the wake of the mass shootings in the Oregon District that left nine people — Logan Turner, Nicholas Cumer, Thomas McNichols, Beatrice Warren-CurtisMonica BrickhouseMegan Betts, Derrick Fudge, Lois Oglesby and Saeed Saleh — dead and many in the community traumatized and heartbroken.

Although the block party is free, tickets are required for entry.

The bash is billed as “a benefit concert to reclaim the Oregon District.”

We’ve heard the same rumors that you have about who might be performing and decided to take our best guess as to who will appear at the benefit.

Below are our predictions of who Chappelle might bring to Dayton for the festival.

The “Paparazzi” singer recently announced her Born This Way Foundation would fully fund classroom projects for Dayton, El Paso, Texas, and Gilroy, Calif., that were listed on a crowdfunding website called Donors Choose. Like Dayton, El Paso and Gilroy were sites of mass shootings in an eight-day span.

While we are on the subject of a “A Star is Born,” we might as well mention Cooper, who directed the movie and co-starred in the film with Chappelle and Gaga.

Cooper traveled to Yellow Springs twice to convince Chappelle to take this role.

One of those trips was to Chappelle’s famous Juke Joint barn party in 2016, which Cooper said inspired a wedding scene in the film.

Chappelle brought Badu to the village  for African-American Cross Cultural Works Blues, Jazz & Culture Fest in 2006.

She was spotted shopping around the town.

"Hi, I'm Dave Chappelle. I used to be cable's hottest star and now I'm just a Yellow Springs guy," Chappelle said at the show, according to the Dayton Daily News archives. "Turns out you don't need $50 million to live around these parts, just a nice smile and a kind way about you.
